DJI Phantom 4 RTK
With the new DJI Phantom 4 RTK you have a very powerful tool for mapping, surveying or inspection work and centimeter-accurate data.
Using the Phantom 4 RTK reduces the amount of control points needed on the ground. The RTK module can deliver position accuracies of 1 cm + 1ppm (horizontal), 1.5 cm + 1ppm (vertical), and the Phantom 4 RTK can achieve the absolute horizontal accuracy of 5 cm from photogrammetric models.
Key Features
Centimeter-accurate positioning system
Improved overall precision of metadata is provided by the new RTK module integrated into the Phantom 4 RTK. The redudanten GNSS modules were mounted directly under the RTK receiver and thus ensure a higher flight stability, even in densely built-up areas, where the reception is generally worse. The combination of the two modules increases flight safety and the Phantom 4 RTK simultaneously logs precision data from complex mappings, surveys and inspections.
In addition, the Phantom 4 RTK can be easily connected to the D-RTK 2 Mobile Station and in addition, the connection via NTRIP (Network Transport of RTCM via Internet Protocol) via a 4G dongle or Wi-Fi hotspot is possible, as well as the storage Satellite Data for Post Processed Kinematics (PPK).
TimeSync - precise data logging
The new TimeSync system continuously reconciles RTK module, flight controller and camera data to take full advantage of the Phantom 4 RTK´s positioning modules. In addition, TimeSync ensures that each photo is equipped with accurate metadata and fixes positional data in the center of the CMOS for best results and precision in photogrammetric methods.

The mechanical closure provides seamless mapping and data acquisition by eliminating rolling shutter effects.
Thanks to the high camera resolution, the Phantom 4 RTK is able to achieve a ground sample distance (GSD) of 2.74 cm at an altitude of 100 m.
Each lens undergoes a thorough calibration process, measuring radial and tangential distortions, ensuring the accuracy of the Phantom 4 RTK. The distortion parameters are stored in the metadata of each image so that the post-processing software can be customized for each user.
Special app for flight planning
Intelligent control of the Phantom 4 RTK allows the pilot the new GS RTK App. In addition to traditional flight modes, it offers two new scheduling modes - photogrammetry and waypoints. The scheduling modes allow automated workflows by allowing pilots to set the drone´s flight path while easily adjusting parameters such as altitude, overlap rate, airspeed, and camera settings.
The GS RTK app was developed specifically for the end user and therefore offers several features designed specifically for mapping and inspection. The app is able to load KML files directly, thereby allowing the planning of flight routes already in the office. A new shutter-priority mode keeps the exposure constant for all photos and wind warnings provide information about unfavorable shooting conditions.
Support for the Mobile SDK
The Phantom 4 RTK is compatible with the DJI Mobile SDK, allowing even more possibilities for automation and customization in combination with a mobile device.
